Superior Optics and Lens Performance for an Active Lifestyle

Eyecare professionals recommend polycarbonate lenses for children and adults with active lifestyles because of its superior impact protection. It's 20 times stronger than dresswear lenses and virtually bulletproof. Up until now, if you had an active lifestyle and you wanted a lens that provided superior impact protection you would have had to compromise on the optics. Now you can have both superior impact protection and accurate optics with new RESOLUTION lenses. And unlike other polycarbonates RESOLUTION lenses can be tinted to an 80% darkness for the best sun protection. Plus they have 100% U.V. built right into the lens.

Other polycarbonate lenses use old lens technology that causes material stress and results in optical flaws like poor resolution and prescription variations - flaws that were revealed in independent laboratory tests. Only RESOLUTION lenses are made by a new process that provides you with accurate optics (as found in glass) and the amazing strength of polycarbonate. No more compromises!

Why New Technology and Optics Matter

If you wear other polycarbonate lenses your eyes have to compensate to make up for poor resolution and prescription (power) variations. This results in unnecessary head movement, adjusting your angle of vision or forcing your brain to interpret what you see. When it comes to your vision you shouldn't have to compromise. With RESOLUTION lenses you won't have to. Below, the red areas show resolution loss. Place your mouse on the photos to see the practical effects of resolution loss. Note the near absence of any resolution loss in the RESOLUTION lens as compared to the other polycarbonate lens.

In the diagrams above laboratory results for resolution loss were overlaid on a photo of a typical real-life situation. (-4.00 power lenses were tested). On the lenses, the colored areas (pink, red and maroon) indicate the different degrees of resolution loss revealed by the tests. Only the clear areas represent accurate resolution. With the other polycarbonate lens, as your eye moves from the lens center the resolution loss gets greater and your vision loss is greater. But, with the RESOLUTION lens your vision is optimum all around the lens.

Additional laboratory tests on prescription variations revealed other optical deficiencies in regular polycarbonate lenses. But, RESOLUTION lenses proved accurate in prescription within an unprecedented + -.01 compared to differences of -.2 to -.7 (in more than half the lens area) of the other polycarbonate lens. When you consider that even a .25 difference in your lens prescription can affect how well you see, it becomes apparent how significant a difference this is.
