Power Loss –
It's Like Having Lenses That Leave You Underpowered

Underpowered Vision

Lens prescriptions are measured in increments of .25. As time goes on your doctor may prescribe a stronger prescription in which even a -.25 increase can make a big difference. Due to old lens technology other polycarbonate lenses can vary dramatically in power (prescription) as lab tests (right) reveal.

Wearing other polycarbonate lenses can leave you severely underpowered – compromising your vision.

In contrast, RESOLUTION lenses are accurate to power, providing superior and precise vision – never leaving you underpowered.

Lab Test Results of Power Loss
(Prescription Variations)

Variations of -.2 to .7 were recorded as shown below

Independent lab test results were performed on -4.00 power polycarbonate lenses. The diagram above illustrates a test result on a competing polycarbonate lens. The mouse over image shows the test result on a RESOLUTION lens. The other polycarbonate lens exhibited power variations of -2.00 to higher than -7.00, except for the clear area shown on the diagram which is true to power. With other polycarbonate lenses, even though your eyecare professional prescribes a specific prescription, your actual lens may vary considerably, affecting your ability to see well. RESOLUTION lenses, on the other hand, provide prescription accuracy to (+) (-) .01 throughout the entire lens. Your prescription is matched perfectly.
